Foster Care Licenses

If you are interested in becoming a foster parent you should first contact Utah Foster Care.

Utah Foster Care recruits and prepares prospective foster parents by providing in-depth instruction and training on the needs of foster children and how families can serve them. Potential providers will also receive information on how foster parent licensing and placement is handled in the state of Utah.

Once training has begun, Utah Foster Care will assist in the application/licensing process and continue to be a valuable resource during the term of service. Throughout the service provided, foster homes will continue to remain in contact with Utah Foster Care, Licensing and the Division of Family and Child Services with Utah Foster Care providing the first important step.
