Youth Transportation Companies

Youth Transportation Programs are required by Utah Code 62A-2-128 opens in a new tab to register with the Office of Licensing.

1. Begin the registration process by filling out the online Youth Transportation Services Registration Application opens in a new tab.
2. Pay the $500 registration fee on the Payment Gateway opens in a new tab two working days after submitting the application.

Please email the following documents to ytregistry@utah.gov

Business License: Please provide a copy of your business license.

Proof of Insurance: Please provide proof of insurance with $1,000,000.00 minimum coverage.

Background Screenings: See below

Youth Transportation Programs are required by Office of Licensing Rule R501-1-26(7) opens in a new tab to register with the Office of Licensing and submit criminal background screenings for all transporters.

Background screenings will be done through DACS (Direct Access Clearance System)

1. Submit clearance worksheets opens in a new tab for all Utah transport staff. A copy of the applicant’s ID and social security card MUST be included.
2. Make a background check payment here opens in a new tab. The background screening fee is $42.25 per screening.  Select your facility and fill in the box for Youth Transportation Services Background Check Fee. You must indicate the name(s) of the person(s) applying for the background check in the details box.
3. Fingerprints may be done one of the following ways:
   1. For those that are in Utah: Obtain a Fingerprint Authorization form from the Office of Licensing and take it to an authorized Livescan location opens in a new tab to do electronic fingerprints.
   2. For those that are not in Utah: Submit two rolled fingerprint cards (done on cards obtained by the applicant at a local public safety office
      or fingerprinting location in the applicant’s state of origin)
